In the state of Minnesota the rules for low voltage contractors have changed. If you run any wires in a building - even low voltage wires (as in sound systems, video or computers) you must have a Technology Systems Contractor License. (Minnesota Statute 326.242 - Subd. 3d)
The requirements include classroom instruction, passing the Power Limited Test, continuing instruction, bond, insurance and compliance with general business and employment law.
